Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This privacy policy explains how Orafy collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit orafy.ch or contact us. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
The controller is Oratek SA, Chemin du Dévent 7, 1024 Ecublens, Switzerland, which develops and operates Orafy. For any question or request about your data, write to contact@orafy.ch.
What data we collect
- Data you send through the contact form: name, company, email address and your message.
- Technical data collected when you visit: IP address, browser and device information, date and time of access. It is used in security logs and to protect the contact form from spam.
- With your consent only: audience measurement data, such as the pages viewed, the device type and an approximate location derived from the IP address (Google Analytics).
- Your language choice, when you pick a language in the menu.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To answer your request and, where relevant, prepare an offer at your request (steps prior to a contract).
- To operate and secure the website and to protect the contact form from abuse (our legitimate interest).
- To measure how the website is used and improve it, only if you accept audience measurement (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To meet our legal obligations.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security, content delivery and the Turnstile anti-spam check on the contact form.
- Odoo: customer relationship management, where contact requests are recorded.
- Google: Google Analytics audience measurement, only if you consent.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Transfers abroad
Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland and the European Union, including in the United States. In that case we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss and European authorities.
How long we keep it
Contact requests are kept as long as needed to handle them and to manage the business relationship that may follow, then deleted. Audience measurement data is kept for 14 months at most. Security logs are kept for a short period only.
Your rights
Within the limits of the applicable law, you can:
- ask whether we process data about you and obtain a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected or ask for its deletion;
- object to some processing or ask for it to be restricted;
- receive the data you gave us in a common format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the processing carried out before.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@orafy.ch. You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland or, in the European Union, with the supervisory authority of your country.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet is completely secure.
